Aizada has a holiday today

From Project Hope Kyrgyzstan: “We got acquainted with this amazing girl during a ceremony of presentation of humanitarian assistance to the Ministry of Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic on 20th June 2012. … Aizada could not believe that she has received Personal Energy Transportation for free and now she can get out of home on visit, for shopping and even can help her mother to buy products.” See full report.

Here is a photo of 46 year old Keson Chanta receiving her new PET cart. She lives in a tiny rural village about 20 kilometers from Li, Thailand. She has been disabled since birth. A Call to Serve PET Reports from Georgia

An excerpt from the ACTS PET Project Report: “ACTS monitors encountered one of their PET beneficiaries Mr. David Mumladze, 54 years old who was the customer of the soup-kitchen. Mr. Mumladze lost his leg in an accident and ACTS provided him with a PET in 2000. Since then he was using PET to move around the city as well as to earn his living through delivering vegetables, fruits and household supplies to the inhabitants of the neighboring apartment buildings. His problem was that the old PET became worn out with time and the tires were worn to threads. He was dreaming to find new tires and some spare parts to mend his old PET. ACTS Georgia informed its headquarters about his request and in 2012 ACTS received several new PETs. ACTS called Mr. Mumladze and replaced his old PET with a new one.”

Leprosy patient uses PET to get to treatments

Dear Von Driggs,

I appreciated so much your arranging for three PET carts to be loaded some time ago into a container at Samaritan’s Purse destined for the Pioneer Christian Hospital at Impfondo, Republic of Congo. I spent the month of May this year at that hospital and worked part of the time with the leprosy patients who live at a residence in a village called Gangania, about five miles from Impfondo. One of the leprosy patients, Michel, is shown with his cart that means so much for his mobility. He is able to travel on his own from the lepers’ residence to the hospital for treatment. God bless you richly for this wonderful gift of transportation.
